If you have puppies, or or planning to have one (or a few) it's important to take proper care them. Just like humans, dogs need proper attention and care in order to live healthy and happy lives :) Here are some of Sara's best tips:
- Don't feed them wet food unless told by the vet.
- Don't add anything like gravy and such unless they need to gain weight or haven't eaten in three days.
- Don't feed them from your hand.
- Do get them a busy bowl if they inhale or don't even chew their food.
If you have more than one dog, always separate them when eating, especially if there's a big age difference.
Depending on the dog's coat and breed, dogs should be bathed at different time intervals. Indeed, most dogs like the Labradors, should only need take a bath once a month. On the other hans, other breeds like the Greyhound, need to only be bathed about four times a year.
A dog should need to go to the vet once a year, unless they have a medical condition. Also, if they are older than 10 years, they should be take to the vet twice a year.
The best breeds for children are Beagles, Golden Retrievers and Boston Terriers.
